In a world where we rush to take sometimes absurd and over-the-top actions when we perceive even the slightest slight, this book is needed and needs to be read to the greatest number of young humans in the fastest manner possible.
In what starts as a funny book about the tenuous relationship between giraffes and hippos, but soon devolves into a ban-free-for-all, we discover through author Raj Haldar's brilliant storyline that book banning is a slippery slope and may indeed have unforeseen consequences. That's not all of course but between the giraffes (banned), birthday parties (oh, they're totally banned), Unicorns (yes, unicorns), and old-fashioned beds (I don't want to talk about it), the message is clear and in fact stated in a quote from the author at the end of the book;
"...and remember, even if a book isn't for you, it could be perfect for someone else."
